May 8, 2026I stopped in on a cross-country flight from Winston Salem and was genuinely impressed. The airfield is gorgeous, sitting where the eastern Piedmont meets the coastal plain of NC, right along the Cape Fear River. The runway is in great shape. The FBO is modern and has been recently redone, with a friendly, helpful staff and conference facilities. Best of all, there’s a perfectly placed observation deck on the 2nd floor. Plus, free cookies and coffee. What more could you want!

March 14, 2026almsmith96821 I flew into Harnett Regional. The folks at the FBO couldn't have been more accommodating. The airport manager even gave me a lift to the rental car company in Dunn. I would absolutely recommend Harnett.
