Great airport, but it can get pretty busy at times and there’s a huge mix of aircraft. I came in my C-172 right after a pair of F18s took off. Then not long after I was on the ground, 2 Ospreys came in and landed. Stay alert and make solid radio calls, because the speed differences among those planes can make the pattern a bit tricky to coordinate. Uber and rental cars are available for the ride into town. Easy Peasy.

I went to Havasu for a day trip, and when I came back to the ramp I found a flat nose gear tire. It was 5pm on a Saturday night, right before Super Bowl Sunday. I didn't know any mechanics in the area, but the people at Velocity FBO were amazing. Tracy and Brandon got on the phone, made a few calls, and put me in touch with Amanda at Zephyr. By early the next morning they had a new tire on the plane and had me headed out before noon. Made it home in time for the SB game. Thank you Velocity and Zephyr.
