March 6, 2026Landed in a single-engine piston and had no clue I was getting mugged. I checked in at OK3 and used their "courtesy" car for the hour they allow. Not once did anybody say anything about fees. FF doesn't show any fees, and I'll own that I didn't bother to research it. Then I got slammed with a $55 facilities fee, a $10 infrastructure fee, and a landing fee ($5 from Vector). 15 gal of 100LL ($8.40 self-serve--$8.90 full) waives the facility fee, but I just took the loss and departed, never to come back. Ridiculous.

February 19, 2026Good service. OPS told us not to fuel at this spot. If you're not used to IFR ops out of here, make sure you pick up a Clearance, climb over the airport, and follow the ODP. ATC likes it better when pilots pick up Clarence before takeoff. Heavy traffic during high season on the GPS approach 22.

February 3, 2026Side note: I told the woman at OK3 that "this kind of price gouging is exactly what's gonna kill GA." She asked, "what's GA?" That pretty much tells you all you need to know. She also pointed to Telluride (KTEX) as an example of a pricey place to land. Bad example. It was $6 bucks the last time I landed there, about 2 years ago. Avoid this spot if you can. Beautiful place, but the prices are just totally unrealistic. It's pretty clear they don't want GA business, and the 100LL price says that too.
