Good stop. No problems. Fine runway and taxiways. FBO is a a few minute walk from the pumps and is sparse but has restrooms and some vending machines. I didn't see anyone in the FBO. Had to find a random door to get in since the door that said Arrivals was locked.

Flew into Gallup for a weekend fly-in with 17 planes. The line guys were prepared for everyone, and they had us parked and fueled fast. Good service!

Thank You, KT Aero, for your superb service in supporting the high traffic activity for the Navajo Christmas Airlift. Clearly was unusual traffic activity over the three days in delivering donations, which you kindly collected for SWIF, in addition to your 'real' responsibilities on the Ramp, Fueling, Admin, etc. Thank You team for your role in helping to make the Airlift a success for the Navajo Nation !!

The Navajo Christmas Airlift landed 70 planes over three days, and the KT Aero team were superb in helping to unload and store the contributions for the Navajo Nation. Even helping to best speed up the fueling at Self Serve - pending getting the 100LL truck (supply chain). Thank You, Team, for helping to make the Airlift a success for the Navajo Nation.

Lesson learned -- always test the reentry gate code prior to leaving the airport! I came back 05:00 the following morning only to discover that the gate code buttons are faulty. I phoned the after hours number and they did reply to inform me that there is an alternate box on the interior and that you must reach thru the gate to utilize it. It's one of those things that appears clear once you observe it, but I was so concentrated on trying to make the exterior box function that I never considered looking for an interior box.

Very helpful when we arrived in a wind. No courtesy car, but the taxi office shares a structure with the FBO. BUT, they declined to give us a door code so we could depart before they opened at 7:00, asserting that it had been broken all year! But any taxi driver could let you in after hours. Odd. Quite odd.

Self serve fuel was simple, one lineman working, very little assistance, no car. A local pilot gave us a ride to the lodging and back the following morning, and assisted getting the plane back out of the hangar…. If it was not for the local aid (big thank you to GM), we might have been stranded…

As I was told, KT Aero is the new FBO at KGUP. FBO in name only at this point. JetA is from truck but 100LL is self service only on the western ramp. NO services! No courtesy cars, rental cars, vending machines, etc. Young line service guy just started in aviation role last week. Seasoned guy behind the counter could only say NO to my questions. That’s it, NO. Suggest other tech stop options until this place gets the hang of the FBO business.
