July 26, 2025No full service fuel, self-serve only. Pleasant people there, cozy chairs in the pilot lounge. Tie downs are right next to the terminal building.

January 26, 2025I was surprised to find out yesterday when I made a fuel stop that the AvGas is presently self serve. Before, I had always been fueled up with their truck at the terminal. It would be helpful if there was a Notam for this, it would have saved me time and having to start two engines again to taxi across to the fuel farm. I've always had fine service there in the past.

September 14, 2024Stopped at FOD for RON when wx preclude continuing east. Met us on the ramp, loaned us a crew vehicle overnight. Full serve fuel very fair. Very fine facilities. This is certainly a GA-friendly spot, even for us single-engine prop guys.

April 11, 2024Landing Ft. Dodge IA after hours having decided to AOG my Cardinal with engine miss-behaving. Ft. Dodge Flight Support was closed but I called the after hours number and was pleasantly surprised when Eric picked up. Arranged crew car and good pilot rate for me at the Brookstone Inn. Insightful, experienced troubleshooting the next AM quickly revealed foreign matter in the carb intake resolving the issue. Pleasant experience all around - reminding me of small town aviation years ago.

February 25, 2022Awesome service from an after hours arrival to an early morning departure. Very helpful staff and a courtesy car available. FBO building was extremely clean, accessible after hours, and comfortable. Self serve fuel worked perfect.

February 19, 2025The folks at Fort Dodge Flight Support are friendly and helpful. I was marshaled in and chocked for easy parking by the door. Inside the facilities are tidy and clean. I used the Crown Vic for a quick trip into town and also used the self-service fuel.

November 24, 2024I fly in often as my daughter is attending college nearby. Good personnel. Very helpful. Full service fuel is fairly priced. Clean RR and nice pilot lounge. The only thing that could make it better is a Kuerig coffee pot. They have a full size pot but it's not always practical to make a whole pot for just a loan cup here or there. Two courtesy vehicles available for use. Old Crown Vic and a van. I mentioned the tires needed replaced and the next weekend it had two new tires. Great ppl.

July 26, 2024The Fbo was more than accommodating. Super fine facility, self serve and full service av gas. We stopped here in a sr22t on the way to Oshkosh and they had BBQ pork sandwiches with everything you can imagine setup. Highly recommend! Good gas prices as well, not to mention good approaches and crosswind runways.

October 2, 2022I just want to relate a brief account on the wonderful staff at The FOD FBO. This is a lovely small town facility with top-tier personnel. On 10/28/22 I was traveling VFR cross country when the batteries in my ANR headsets failed so I chose to stop at FOD and acquire some fresh ones and have lunch at the same time. I was greeted by Johnnie on the ramp and I inquired about using a courtesy car to run into town and obtain AA batteries. We went inside and the car was already checked out. Johnnie went into their main office and described the situation to Sarah. Sarah took two new batteries from her desk and declined payment for them. Then she and Johnnie told me to help myself to the brisket chili in the employee break room. Thank you Sarah, and good luck too Johnnie as he starts his pilot training soon.
