June 17, 2026A "local" personal VIS & CLG indicator, good about ~75% of the time: from the FDK VOR, look bearing 323ºr at 7.7nm for two white strobes, lit day & night, on a pair of TWRs ~500' apart (mountain top): 220' radio TWRs, tops @1912' & 1940' MSL (minimum VFR ceiling for KFDK). Sure, they aren't over the field, but it's a decent "rule of thumb" that VIS is >5sm & CLG may be above mins. There are several lighted antennas up on the mountain; this is the only "pair".

April 11, 2026Really appreciate Signature's PnP help last Friday with the rescue bird flight. They made the fuel stop incredibly easy, and the discount and fee waiver were, of course, much appreciated. Got the little guy to his wildlife sanctuary Sunday afternoon! Thank you!

September 10, 2025Say what you want about Signature but the Frederick is just superb. Waived the overnight charge for a single piston and I did not even require fuel!
