Good small airport for cross country fuel stop. Traveling between the Bay Area and SLC I have stopped both here and KBAM. The fuel is somewhat pricier here but I prefer it because it's nearer to town, longer and superior runways, and availability of upkeep if required.

Just wanted to give a big shout out to Khloee who was working at the El Aero Elko FBO on Saturday the 30th of November. She went out of her way to make me and my family feel welcome when we came in as a party of around 10 people. I forgot to bring a spare headset for my sister to take her on a discovery flight after flying in from Spanish Fork, UT and she went out of her way to find one for me and helped make my sisters experience a good one. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Not the most pleasant personnel. Costly fuel given the airport's remote setting. They insisted on viewing my ID right away upon entry without even saying Hello. I comprehend it is the airport's fresh rule to capture a copy of every pilot's ID, but a kind welcome would help a lot. Fuel rates were a $1/gallon superior to what is shown in Foreflight. In summary, would not visit here again.
