August 11, 2025One of my preferred airports. The FBO (the Bailey family) is extremely fine and helpful. The paved runway and grass strip (tightly mowed) are in good shape, set amidst a golf course. The feeling at this small airport is similar to that of Drummond Island - calm and welcoming.

November 28, 2023Good 3 day trip for my wife and me. We brought our TR182 in from San Antonio, TX via St. Ignace since we had never been here and we're looking for property since its quite inexpensive on this island. Mr. James Bailey took fine care of us. Kinda amusing seeing an auto shop also run the only FBO. But James and his son were wonderful! $10 municipal tie down fee per night and if you want to rent a car from the Bailey's they offer cars for $50 per day. We'll back!!

Runway 01/19 Surface: Cntr 20 ft of runway from int runway 08/26 north to the hngr line is asph, rmndr of runway turf.
Runway 01 Controlling Object Clearance Slope: Ctlg obstn exceeds a 45 deg slp.
Runway 01 Markings: 3 ft yellow cones.
Runway 08 obstruction close in: +4 ft fence, 20 ft dist; +10 ft hill, 10 ft dist, 50 ft left; +18 ft building, 97 ft dist, 50 ft right; +50 ft trees, 20 ft dist, 90 ft left/right.
