I picked Sedalia vs. KRCM overnight for meetings at Whiteman. It's a good stop: one of the absolute quietest small airports I've ever observed, yet long concrete runway, old concrete taxiway, large ramp, brand new looking FBO. Extremely fine people, even taking into consideration they aren't doing much all day long given the minimal traffic. Sedalia is an old midwestern town, plenty of the usual chain hotels and restaurants but also some owner operated places with lots of character.

I just wanted to thank Derrick and his staff while we were in Sedalia this past month. Very fine facility and very helpful. Good little airport.

Stopped in for a refuel and borrowed the crew car for a run to town for lunch. Derrick was very attentive and the facility is very fine. Will visit again soon.

Stopped in for an overnight. The facility is brand new, comfortable and well equipped. The service I got from Steve and Derrick was top notch. I would certainly return here in the future.

Good stop! Derrick the airport manager and head of maintenance is a fine fellow! I stopped in for the evening on business and weather kept me on the ground for another evening, very adaptable and helpful with hangar and crew car. Derrick also offered a lending hand trying to get my cigarette lighter to work to charge my gadgets. I will certainly be back!

One of the friendliest airports you can fly in to. Everyone’s willing to assist. Weathered here for two days on our way from Ft. Payne, AL to Kenai, AK. I recommend Bothwell Hotel if you have to spend the night. Special thanks to Derrick at the airport.

Amazing personnel managing this airport. I landed here to avoid Winter storm Oakley and they went out of their way to make sure I was able to wait it out. Really fine newer FBO, clean bathrooms and facilities, and if you land you can opt to have them “Full Service” fill your plane from the truck for no additional cost, same price as the Self-Serve. Land here for either a quick turnaround or an extended stay!

New airport manager hired a couple months ago. Appear to be much more helpful now than in the past. Might give this airport another go if haven’t stopped recently.
