Went over there for a project, met new friends and FBO staff were good enough to help us start our engine when we had troubles

Desert Aviation offers full-service, truck-pumped JetA+, furthermore the facilities were perfectly tidy.

Good fbo and fuel stop, pet rattlesnakes and an fbo cat! Fuel costs were good and was fueled up right away!

Arrived in the evening when I thought the FBO would still be open but just missed it. Could get inside the FBO for a break but couldnt exit the airport property that way. Gave the number a call and he easily talked me through picking up the courtesy van from the tarmac. Got to keep it over night with no issue. Simple early morning fuel up and departure. Nice people!

Planned on getting fuel. Sunday! Descending when received a call from another pilot saying "I just tried. No one there. No answer on the after hours number. No self-serve pump so no fuel available. Try Grant Co. 30 nm NW. Strong direct crosswinds but has fuel." I did appreciate the info, diverted and fueled. Lesson learned--hours info is fine but not authoritative. Call before highly advised. KDMN is good--when open!
