Avflight and KDET is one of the most convenient places that I had the pleasure to utilize. Every time I visit I have a fine experience.

Landed here to clear customs, which was simple and direct. +1 (313) 393-3793 x3 at least 2 hours ahead of time. They confirmed it's accessible 24hrs. Was somewhat doubtful to utilize this airport based on remarks about the ramp. It's poor in spots but readily bypassed. FBO personnel are very welcoming and met us on taxi in. Allowed my wife to use their conference room for a call. $10/night overnight in a Mooney. Good FBO.

Flew my C172 into DET for 3 days of meetings in Detroit. Agree with other remarks, FBO was really warm (uncomfortable) and fuel is pricey. Charged ramp fee for 3 nights despite buying 30 gallons of fuel. On the plus side the front desk was helpful in getting me a ride to the hotel and offered bottled water. The airport itself was good and controllers easy to work with. If I’m back in Detroit I’ll likely use this FBO again. -- Joel B.

They nickel and dime everything. Operators be warned they charge a fee for catering handling fee (aka as keeping a sandwich in their fridge for an hour) on top of the catering order and delivery fee.

The airport is good. Unfortunately, the FBO leaves much to be desired. Primary issue: NO AIRCONDITIONING in the facility. It is awful. I asked the CSR if they could turn it on, reply was no.

Flew into KDET in a bonanza. Received good service from the 5 employees I interacted with. Fine service. Topped off with fuel which was very fairly priced. They have a driver that will bring you downtown for a small charge. Hangar for my bonanza was $175 each night which I thought was too steep for price compared to other major metro airports. They are advertising a new FBO to break ground this fall.

Amazing FBO!!! Professional, friendly personnel at fine old airport near downtown.

I fly in frequently to visit family and have been treated well. The tower is fabulous and ground crew/desk is wonderful. I have to mention the tower personnel, Carl on the ground and everybody at the desk has treated us as if we were a corporate jet, i’m in a single Bo. Cant comment on other folks reviews, but I like the place.

Gpu $75 to start plus $25/hr following the initial hour.
