August 30, 2022Monmouth Jet Center FBO was good. We pulled off the taxiway (GA PA32) and a marshaller drove out in a golf cart and marshalled us to a parking spot. They gave us a crew car and recommended a superb seafood restaurant (Klein’s Fish Market). Superb FBO facility. Call ahead for the fee because it is based on size of plane and fueling.

July 23, 2021I’m in to KBLM now at least one time per month, typically staying 1 or 2 evenings. It’s accurate to state, if you arrive in a piston single, you are not going to get marshaled into the “jet shed”…. In your fantasies partner lol This is the North East, this FBO’s main business is clearly charter King Airs and Jets running very affluent customers to locals more stylish than Belmar NJ. Lol and that’s fine! What I can state is the $20 overnight charge seems fair ( for airframe safety at minimum). You will usually get met and marshaled (this has declined once or twice) and I’ve even been provided a brief golf cart trip to the FBO. The FBO is compact but apparently nicely equipped. I have had a rental car set up by the FBO with Hertz and everything proceeded as it ought to. I do grasp the remarks about how light GA can be treated here, they are certainly not baseless. I do believe in utilizing this FBO in a piston single a person needs to acknowledge you are an hour or so from NYC and its residents. Everything is costly and your ‘70s C172 is not going to get the excitement going of people that handle G6’s all day long…. The hint is in the designation… Monmouth JET Center

July 3, 2022Flew in the other day (a Monday morning) in my Mooney. Line and front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. I didn’t require fuel, but they kept me under the big awning all day anyway until I departed at 5pm. $20 landing fee is consistent with many other spots in the Northeast.

June 17, 2022Flew in KBLM last evening. Very pleasant and snug atmosphere. Only charge for our C172 was $20 as a landing fee. I was keen on utilizing the crew car, but it only comes with a purchase of 10 gallons of fuel. I did not require fuel, but the woman at the front desk was very kind and permitted me to take the vehicle without any extra charges. Only negative aspect I can mention was I hoped the marshal offered us a ride back to the FBO since our parking was quite a trek away. In summary very fine experience, very kind and welcoming personnel. Be cautious arriving after dark, visual effects will certainly trick you.

July 11, 2021This FBO has truly declined. I often visited BLM and Monmouth Jet as both a student pilot and a newly minted PPL. During those times in 2014/15, they rolled out the red carpet (quite literally!) for me in a 172. They parked me under the overhang and waived parking charges. I’ve since relocated to Texas and recently started a 4,500nm cross country trip. I stopped in at Monmouth Jet and calling the service subpar would be an understatement. When we arrived they marshaled us into a grassy area with loose gravel - not good for any prop plane! They were impolite and hardly asked about what services we required. Upon arriving two days later, it was evident we were a bother in their FBO - not certain why - I was just attempting to pay - last I checked my money is still green! Today there were doing construction on the tarmac around where our 182 was parked - I asked about how we were to exit and was told “turn left or right.” Considering the constructions and the absence of jets, I would’ve anticipated an offer to tow us under the over hang or a different section of the tarmac. I was very let down with my experience and shall not return.
