I was happy that the crew car was accessible even after hours, and there was a grocery store just about five minutes away by car. The FBO also had a microwave. The self-service fuel functioned fine even late at night, and when I landed at sunset, the airport looked lovely. Nevertheless, be cautious, as wildlife might jump out from the grass, and there are many wind turbines near the airport to observe out for

Despite the odd designation, Broken Bow is a hidden treasure. Fair fuel costs and a fine N/S runway, they possess an ancient Chevy love van as a courtesy vehicle which you utilize to take your passengers to The Kinkaider brewery about two miles down the road. Good food and you can have a root beer while your passengers savor the good brews. Or better yet, if you are in a weather stop or just want to relax, they have a guest suite for hire and you can stay overnight. It’ll turn into the $300 steak trip before you realize it!

I travel the country, and this is a fine FBO stop. Truly expresses the heart of general aviation. Self serve amenities - on your honor pay-as-you-go oil, multiple courtesy cars drinks and a pilot lounge with plenty of seating and TV. Clean comfortable no frills.​
