Austin Aeroflight (KAUM)

Excellent stopover. Bruce was really accommodating, the crew car and facilities were first-rate, and the BBQ plus the Spam museum made the trip worthwhile.

KAUM has been one of my usual stops over the last 25 years, mainly because of the hospitality. Transient pilots are treated like DVs and/or family as soon as they land. On a below zero arrival, I’ve been pushed into a heated hangar before ever getting out of the plane. During my last stop, Bruce and his family worked over the holidays to help troubleshoot and fix a mx issue. The runway was plowed and brushed before the sun came up (verified with Bruce over text before I took off). FBO and facilities are brand new. Truly worth a stop!
