Beautiful facility! We arrived in the late afternoon to find the office was closed because of weather. Instructions at the side door supplied a code to unlock. Lyft ride to hotel showed up in under 10 minutes. Returned for departure on a Sunday morning. One person was there to cover the desk and fueling. Tiedown fee waived with fuel purchase. Gave 'Cy' a high five on the way out to the ramp.

Flew to Ames to visit the Iowa State Campus. Good experience at Central Iowa Air. Helpful personnel greeted us upon our taxi to the ramp and filled our fuel request within minutes. Overall made for a very simple in and out trip.

Good facility and even better personnel. Flew up for ISU game and was met with nothing but the finest hospitality. Our plane struggles to start on super cold mornings and they assisted us with an extension cord so we could plug in overnight. Treated us no different than the jet crews who flew in. Cant say enough thanks!

Props to an incredible staff. Weathered in overnight and the following morning, a squall line was headed towards my tied down light taildragger. Two fellows did not hesitate to come out and get it in their hangar. The pilot lounge facility most clean and comfortable I have ever seen.

Flew into Ames for an ISU football game. Fine views of campus, Jack Trice stadium, and the Hilton Coliseum on landing Rwy 19. Cordial lineman greeted us on arrival, chocked the plane, and took our fuel order. Fairly priced fuel and no charge for tiedown door with fuel order. Front desk super friendly. KAMW is a good airport! Concluded our trip with a photo with "Pilot Cy" outside the FBO. Will certainly return! Thanks Central Iowa Air!

Everything an FBO should be, welcoming personnel, fine service, good local aviation community. Brought some charter passengers in for a football game, met some fine local aviation people, had a good bbq sandwich provided by the FBO while we watched the game from the pilot lounge. Can’t wait to return for a visit! Thanks for the hospitality! Highly suggested!

A wonderful staff and facility. We flew in for the Iowa-Iowa State game in early September. This Saturday is their biggest day of the year, I believe. They were prepared with all hands on deck including recruited family members. Planes were swiftly whisked away to make room for the next arrivals. Terminal building was tidy, cool, modern, and well stocked with game day goodies including a barbecue lunch for pilots remaining at the airport during the game. Pilot lounge was comfy and relatively spacious with a big TV and lots of seating. The facility was good but the staff was even better. Smiles everywhere. Since the courtesy car was in use we were given the keys to one of the owner’s personal vehicles. Used it to get to Provisions for breakfast. It’s only a mile from the airport and you can’t go wrong there. A bit pricey, but worth it.
