Couldn't make our planned stop due to thunderstorms so I did a quick search on the RAF page and found Havana. Wonderful facility! Beautiful grass runway with avgas Put up our tents under a couple pine trees, made a small fire in the RAF fire pit and cooked dinner. Lobby is good with a kitchen, lounge, showers, and observer tower. Even has a crew car. Thank you very much!

Good airport with a new campground. We stayed for 1 evening. Very welcoming and supportive personnel that aided us with our arrangements. The setting was so calm and tranquil, I rested very well. 5 stars for the restrooms and washing facilities! The tile work was a pleasant surprise. They have also just finished a campground shelter house and have set out saplings that in a few years will form a truly fine meeting spot. Above the FBO is a recently built lookout tower. The fueling point appears all new including a card reader as noted in a previous comment. All of this work appears to have been finished within the past year or so. The FBO looks modern and is really fine. It would be a truly good spot for a collection of planes to assemble for a campout/meeting. Arriving and departing was simple with our a65 cont BC12D Taylorcraft. The airport is 5 miles from Havana on the IL River and is bordered by agricultural land. What a treasure for the center of IL.

New credit card terminal at fuel pump. 24 hour self serve 100LL. Spotless restrooms with showers and full kitchen accessible via door code. Turf in really good condition. Airplane camping permitted. Courtesy car available.
