Good airport with welcoming personnel and an active flight school. Quite conveniently situated around a 5 minute walk from the Northampton fairgrounds. The CTAF weather does not work currently. Exercise caution following the PAPI on RWY 14 as it is very steep at 4.5 degrees.

I flew here in October. Fly to and around New England in the autumn. It is beautiful. Airport is convenient to town and fair fuel price for New England. Town is close and transportation is available though I didn’t care for cosmic cab. Northampton has a wealth of restaurant and shopping options. A very fine town to visit. The airport is simple to find from the air along the River. Approaches are direct without any major obstruction, though the Holyoke range can loom off the departure end of 14. There was no ramp fee to park overnight with spaces available.
