Good small stop but heavily utilized as a training airport. There were 4 planes in the pattern doing T&Gs, missed approaches. On arrival 3 planes in line for self service gas pump, and they were non stop pulling us up and pumping gas for us while we waited inside. I suppose cheaper than buying a truck.

Did my PPL training at Lightning. FBO is kept very clean they have many planes for rent at a fine price and flight instructors are very knowledgeable and professional never failed to answer any questions I had. There isn't another flight school or FBO that even comes close to the availability and professionalism at such at good price point anywhere else in south Alabama

Five star service from the welcoming staff. Very helpful and accommodating. Self service fuel kiosk is presently inoperable from a lightning strike. So just know that there is no after hours fuel until fixed.

Flew in a C150 on a ferry from California to Florida. Pulled up to the self-serve pumps and one of the FBO workers came out and pumped the fuel for me. Ran into an alternator issue while I was there and one of the mechanics was able to diagnose and fix the issue within an hour at a very fair cost. Good service with good people, would highly recommend the stop.

Stayed overnight for 2 nights - quite reasonable full service fueling and parking. Helpful and friendly personnel. Shoutout to Caleb! Will be back whenever visiting/enjoying the Gulf of America again!

Good FBO. Pleasant personnel, full service fuel, safe airport.

Landed here because of weather and the FBO permitted us to utilize their courtesy car to go into town for lunch while it blew over. After the storm cleared, water entered the pitot static system and they were able to assist so we could get back home. Very superb FBO! Also, strongly suggest visiting Lamberts for lunch if you have the chance.

Good fueling service and welcoming people. Stayed several days. Rented car from 4-Lane Auto. Nice car at fair rate. Car was delivered to the airport for $20. Very handy.

Flew in with the family in the Cessna 320. Good stop. Very courteous staff. Fine runway and airport. Rented a car and stayed in Gulf Shores. Rented a car from Enterprise. They did not deliver so it was kind of a bother to get car to and from. But the staff were very kind and helpful to assist. I’ll certainly be back.
