The screen on the self serve pump is not clear. It's been cooked by the sun. The phone number posted rang at City Hall.

A gem of an airport, especially for vintage antique taildraggers who like very well kept grass runways for multiple landing choices. Quite reasonable self serve fuel with two ladder types available to help access the upper wing fuel tanks. Fine clean FBO to sit in the AC, use the restroom, and enjoy some supplied snacks and drinks. Flew thru 3 summers ago between St. Louis and Indiana and back in our Champ, so it was an easy choice to stop again in the Great Lakes heading back to Indiana!

Flew into the Shelby County to visit relatives over the Thanksgiving weekend. I had called ahead and asked Scott if there was a hangar I could use and he assured me that there would be a space accessible. When I arrived Scott met me at the self service pump and assisted me with topping up the plane and then towed it to the hangar. He allowed me to plug in my trickle charger and offered to show up early before my departure to plug my oil sump heater in. Superb service. I'll certainly return.

Scott, the airport manager was as nice as could be. Great guy. As noted by others, he even fueled the plane for me. He stopped what he was doing to take the time to make sure we were taken care of before continuing with his day. 10/10

Stopped to get fuel at self service pump and Scott was at my plane to assist before I had the engine shut down. Let me use courtesy van to run into town for breakfast. Suggested some local spots, went to Lisa’s Cafe on the square. Good FBO.

Flew in to Shelby county for the 4th of July and was surprised to see that the airport manager was tending to the airport even on a holiday as big as the 4th! Small, but comfortable FBO with lots of snacks and drinks to select from. Also couldn't beat the fuel costs! Will certainly stop back!

Stopped on my way to Indianapolis. Pulled in for fuel, I was second in line, they told me I could shut down and they would tug it over and fill it up for me. Super friendly guys on the field. Very clean FBO, good stop and good runways. Vern M. -

Spent the night in Shelby County due to bad weather along my route. Scott put my plane in the hangar and loaned me the courtesy vehicle overnight for no charge. Very GA friendly. Will try to make this a normal stop along my route. Thanks, Scott! Chris W.

I stopped here on a long cross country. As prior comments mentioned, management is amazing. I was greeted at the plane before it was even shut down. They fueled my plane for self service price, offered me snacks and drinks and asked more than once if they could assist me with anything else. FBO and runways were good. Will certainly be stopping here again and would recommend to everyone!

Stopped in today with my wife to see a friend. Was met right away at the pump and had my plane topped off for me at self serve prices. Very comfortable lobby but it was so nice outside, I enjoyed being out and just looking over the quiet airport. Scott offered me the van and I ran into town. Try Iced - good sandwiches and fantastic desserts! All small airports should take note, this place is awesome! Thank you so much!
