Big headwind while flying to Sunriver, so I chose to land at Montague for fuel (July 9) Odd seeing a cemetery at the aerodrome. If you desire fuel, they possess it and I was thankful for that. FBO was locked (Wednesday). Nothing else present, but if you require fuel, they have it.

Very fine airport and pilot lounge. I dropped someone off at KSIY who had a meeting in Yreka. I did not want to wait at an airport that looked like a scene from a horror movie, so after refueling at Weed, (very nice airport and pilot lounge by the way) and I decided to check out Montague. I met some very cordial pilots and their dogs. Fuel is a bit more than at Weed, but it's nearer to Yreka if that's where you are going.

Landed May 31, 2025. Quite calm. Runway and apron in fine condition. It is a half hour walk into Montague, but there is little there apart from a Thai noodle restaurant and a convenience store at the gas station. With reference to previous post, FBO is all locked up today, a Saturday??
