Forgot to mention: BEWARE multiple broadcast towers in vicinity.

Good little field! Had to go around on 35, <1000' displaced threshold to clear trees (& maybe a P/L?). Tall corn both sides but wide R/W to see wildlife (we didn't see any), clean and new lounge/FBO. 1/2 way markers were my decision point to go around 1st approach. Smooth, nicely graded. I will return!

Flew in yesterday to get my Explore Maryland by Air stamp. I had this quiet place to myself. Echo what the other guy mentioned about tall towers nearby! Approach to 35 has some trees but the runway is quite long and in superb shape, well mowed. Useful “1/2 way” indicators. “Self service” pilot lounge is at the end of the hangars with the stamp and functional restrooms - move the door blocking board to let yourself in. Adorable 1970’s feel couches. Was sad to see the October 2021 newspaper obituary of Mr Bennett the former owner on the bulletin board. Hopefully this beautiful large grass field lasts for many years and doesn’t get turned into a housing development… If I was in the neighborhood and needed a quick no hassle bathroom break or rest, I’d come back for sure!
