Had intended to proceed to KMVN, but paused here on our path from MI back to LA. Lovely farm region! Ended up being held up for two days because of weather. Jerry the airport manager was WONDERFUL! We were permitted to utilize the courtesy Crown Victoria for two days, lodged at the Hampton Inn in town. Clean/newer lodging with breakfast and washing facilities. Make sure to visit Pinky's at Lake Sara, enjoyable small lakeside eatery with fine food! We appreciated Effingham, they made us feel like family! Thanks!!!!

Interesting airport with lovely farm views. Flew here in a gulfstream. FBO staff jerry was helpful, worth the $80 call out. Fuel was inexpensive. Rental vehicle was there as expected from enterprise. *There is no fuel truck or tugs available so keep that in mind for bigger planes.*
