staff quite welcoming and proud of there airport. very fine place. found a good eatery not far from there. name is “Quinnies” Wonderful owner and staff. amazingly welcoming, professional, good food.

If there are deer on the runway, they are typically on the south end.

Eating options are sparse and not in walking distance. Kozel's diner and Love Apple farm referred in other comments are both permanently closed.
