September 23, 2025Be mindful when arriving at AQW that the fuel pump for AVGAS is out of service more frequently than not. Thus make alternative arrangements for fuel or confirm you have sufficient fuel to proceed to another more dependable location. I am based at this aerodrome and have ceased depending on obtaining fuel here. This has been a continuous problem that has not been resolved for quite a while.

May 26, 2025Think Short Field Approach and Climb out Ops. Shear like winds possible. Be ready. Breath taking scenery. Runway and ramp in fine shape. SR-22

October 3, 2024Good airport on a fine VFR day. Bruce (airport manager) was helpful and friendly. Careful with the high terrain around especially on IFR days! Overall fine facilities and enjoyable GA experience. A crew car would be a wonderful plus if they had one.

Mt ranges 9100 ft N at elev 1894 ft; 4300 ft N at elev 2254 ft; 10800 ft S at elev 2951 ft; 12800 ft S at elev 2690 ft.
Pilots ldg on runway 29 are encouraged to avoid low apchs, if safe to do so, ovr the res nbrhd just E of the airport.
Runway 11 Controlling Object Clearance Slope: Approach ratio 20:1 to dthr.
Runway 11 left traffic for pwrd aircraft. runway 11 right traffic for gld and tow plane.
Runway 29 right traffic for pwrd aircraft. runway 29 left traffic for gld and tow plane.
