Had to divert to Eureka KS, 13K because of weather, We were greeted by George Turner, the Airport manager, who quickly offered to assist us get the Bonanza in the hangar before the storm. I highly suggest this fine airport and especially George.

Just flew in a couple days ago. Good runway with a tidy and pleasant lounge. Ian the local airport manager was extremely accommodating and useful. We left the plane on the ramp for several days and Ian even permitted me to use an extension cable to connect to power for my cowl heater the night before leaving. It is true gas is cash only currently, as they don’t have a CC machine yet, but Ian took all my details and the town of Eureka emailed me a receipt. Ian’s number is (620) 755-2923

Skip this facility. I called the day before regarding fuel / they neglected to give specifics; yes, they do have fuel, but not self service and Cash Only. The morning I arrived, nobody was present and it looked like raccoons may have been residing in the lounge! Fly to KEMP Emporia KS, fine grass strip and also a paved runway …most importantly: self service fuel.
