The southern 200’, approach end of runway 36, has a 15% grade, and is truly more of an entrance ramp for the flatter part to the south. As mentioned in earlier remarks, avoid trying to “land on the numbers” on 36! You can remain at the hotel during the week by making advance phone reservations. Online system does not seem to be functioning. Charming hotel so quite worth the visit. Interesting background to this town.

Runway is in very good conditions after mowing. Called the hotel and got an update before visiting. The taxiing was charming with a stop sign. We checked the place out for future stays. Maybe the dinner services will come back soon. Check the hotels website and read upon the history, of which the place is full! Recommended.

Been wanting to fly in here for some time. Finally got a willing passenger and flew in on a lovely Saturday morning. What a fun spot to visit and eat! Many aviation history facts on the walls of the cafe. The one caution I’ll mention is that the grass parking can be somewhat challenging to navigate if people don’t park consistently. You should come off the road to the lot on the south side of the hotel… don’t drive down the road and try to turn in or you’ll encounter a pretty decent drop-off and could perhaps get a prop strike. Looking forward to my next trip.
