Old school air park right on the bluff above Durango. Ride in was good...departure was very squirrelly with west crosswinds. No METAR reporting, so have to use sound judgement. CC machine doesn't work for self serve but fortunately they were able to assist on departure. I'll only be back on very calm wind days for certain

Good airport with fine folks and inexpensive fuel! Much more planes than anticipated from such a small location - and taxiing among them is restricted even in my 172!- plus the tarmac between the planes finished with no turn around- compelling a strange turn around and taxi across uneven turf to reach the fuel dept. Durango is wonderful- Grab a rental car (off airport) and go see Mesa Verde nation park- Or do what we do... come every year the Durango Blues Train!
