Ruth (T42)

July 2026 - Came straight in from the northwest, passing over Ruth Lake. The runway follows the valley well and is positioned along the east edge of a tight clearing, so it is reasonably easy to pick out on arrival. Right now the runway is badly overgrown with tall weeds; I would not come back unless they get trimmed.

I flew up in my C172 to check this location out and to check the condition of the runway. The runway was in better shape than I had supposed. Seems like a fine place to camp. Gate on the south end for river access.
