I usually avoid picking bigger City airports for an RON, but serious storms were bearing down on me and I figured, "any port in a storm." With tornados forecast, I needed my Cardinal inside a hangar, and the line guys were superb about getting it secured quickly. But ouch, a $100 hangar fee, but Oh well. Unfortunately, the front desk had no clue about pilots needing motels, or rides to motels at decent prices - so this became a very arduous and expensive port in a storm!

Super impressed with SGF and Midwest! Flew in to visit family for a long weekend in a 172. Controllers and staff were helpful, and the facility is beautiful. They even offer free ice cream!
