May 23, 2026Dropped in during the afternoon on 6/13/26. Clean, air-conditioned FBO building with easy after-hours access. Self-serve 100LL is reasonably priced for this area. Getting in and back out was easy.

April 11, 2025Flew in to visit relatives. Fine tie downs are right by the self service fuel tanks. Nicely appointed terminal, even a shower in the restroom! Fine helicopter pilot based at the field helped to close my flight plan... because I forgot AGAIN! Didn't need the courtesy car since relatives meet us there. We enjoyed Good OLE Boys Bar B Que just off the airport. Simple to spot from the air, field is situated between Merkel Mountain to the north and 5 or 6 quarries to the south and town/highway to the east.

December 18, 2024We flew in 17Jan25 for Bandit's (August) smoked turkey and bbq. Got the FBO tour. Quite impressive facility. Very kind staff and crew car. We shall return.
