March 22, 2026Flew the bonanza up from Deer Valley to grab breakfast with my wife while she's on a ladies retreat there in Payson. Beautiful airport as usual, lots of student pilots coming in and out of the restaurant and enjoying their breakfast. 36°, clear skies, and a little bit of snow up to the north of the mountains. Just a beautiful day, always a pleasure heading to Payson. Always a pleasure to eat at the restaurant. Looking forward to getting back again soon.

February 9, 2026FYI...Crosswind restaurant is shut today & tomorrow (3/9-10) for a new floor install. Dennis took really good care of me & hooked me up with the courtesy car so I could get breakfast in town!

January 2, 2026From the moment I called and spoke to Airport Manager Dennis Dueker, was an absolute delight to deal with. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and you can immediately tell he sincerely cares about pilots and the airport. The runway and taxiways are smooth, well-marked, and clearly well-kept. Fuel costs are reasonable, and they have courtesy vehicles ready to go so you can head into the charming town of Payson.

APT Lighting Schedule: Dusk-dawn: actvt reil runway 06 & 24; papi runway 06; mirl runway 06/24 - CTAF. mirl runway 06/24 preset low intensity; incr intensity- CTAF. papi runway 24 opr consly.
Dep noise abatement proc in efct; turn N 30 deg for 2 nm. arr/dep blw 1000 ft ovr town na.
Runway 06/24: Runway 24 calm wind runway less than 5 kts.
Runway 06 obstruction close in: 2-4 ft berm 0-150 ft from threshold 85-125 ft left of centerlines.
Runway 24 obstruction close in: 3 ft brush 180 ft from runway acrs threshold; 2 ft brush 20-170 ft from threshold 80-125 ft left of centerlines.
Self svc credit card fuel W end; follow signs - 928-970-0887.
Traffic Pattern Altitude: Tpa prop engine 1043 ft, jet/multi-engine & large engine 1543 ft, hel 543 ft.
