Montevideo-Chippewa County (KMVE)

Nice little airport. It was pretty quiet on a Friday afternoon in spring-one Stinson tied down on the ramp, and then me in my Cherokee. I landed on the paved runway. The A/D building has plenty of windows, giving you a cool view. There are a couple bathrooms and a neat old snack machine (bring cash/coins). I didn't try for fuel, so I can't provide an update there. Before leaving, I made one lap on the grass. The transition over 14/32, which extends onto the grass, was smooth. The grass was a little bumpy, but it was early in the season and I was in a Cherokee, so YMMV.

Purchased fuel today at $5.50 a gallon. Refused one credit card. Accepted second My gas receipt was 197.28. Which was accurate for 35.87 gallons Then got notice from cc company saying I was just charged $755.00 So still issues with system. Used the courtesy car. Driver door doesn't latch and stays loose. Grateful they have one available.

Card reader didn't function, they were able to bypass the card reader and I paid them via Venmo. Cash or check also accepted. Don't count on getting fuel here during non business hours until the card reader is fixed. Bumpy on final RY14 coming over the hill. Good tie down spots.
