July 4, 2025It has been 2 years since my previous remark on JGG but following another wonderful experience I felt it was appropriate to remark again. I flew in yesterday evening before some predicted precipitation, Charly went out of his way to locate me an open hangar and secure my plane. He went above and beyond fulfilling the airport's principles of safety, friendliness, confidence and teamwork. Proud Larry Waltrip added the family designation to the airport following 55 years. June 27, 2025Dropped in for an overnight stay to visit historic Williamsburg. There's no superior place to do so on the 7/4th weekend. There is ample ramp space on the NW side of the field and it's a wonderful and scenic approach into the airport on 31. Charly at the airport provides a warm welcome with local tips and quick refueling. There is fast Uber service to get into Williamsburg.

May 25, 2025The airport staff was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Fuel prices are high, but that's supply and demand. Airport staff was very, very helpful, kind and courteous. Plenty of space to tie down. Only about 7 miles from Williamsburg.

Noise abatement procedures in effect; contact amgr 757-229-9256. runway 31 dep turn left heading 270 deg to avoid school 3500 ft off runway end.
Noise Abatement: Stay clear of school; RH on 13 pattern

Runway 13/31 Surface: Nmrs cracks in runway pavement. pci value of 45.
