Not impressed at all. The fbo building had boarded-up windows and gave off an abandoned vibe. As a solo girl, I wasn't comfortable using the restrooms. Fueling turned into an ordeal. The ladder choices are basically the world's tallest ladder or a wobbly step stool with wheels that don't really work. Runway and taxis are nice.

We diverted here due to weather. Landed at 8:30pm. FBO Was open and comfortable. Called the airport manager to see if courtesy car was available. While it was not, he seemed to go out of his way to find us a ride to where we needed to go. We ended not needing to go anywhere but very impressed with his commitment. Would recommend

Kimble County Airport is a very helpful and welcoming place. I had a tie down for five nights. I flew to the area to have a good observation location for the solar eclipse. As some other pilots have written,the airport manager, Dallas, is quite helpful. He very willingly drove us to our hotel. Dallas provided fine information about the area. There is a very fine mechanic, Sam Thiele, available too. I highly recommend Kimble airport.
