July 7, 2026No-nonsense airport. It gets pretty busy, but ATC stays ahead of the flow. Self-serve fuel is located on the northeast side of the ramp. Atlantic is the only FBO these days, and it delivers the standard Atlantic experience (friendly people and ramp crew, but clearly geared toward the big jets and not too interested in owner-flown or piston singles).

June 8, 2026Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, Montana, is in the middle of a major runway repaving project. The airport’s primary runway will have phased, limited weekday operating hours.Closure schedule:Closure Window: Monday at 6:00 PM through Friday at 10:00 AM.Open Window: Friday at 10:00 AM until Monday at 6:00 PM (open every weekend).Duration: These phased closures continue during July (July 6–31)

December 2, 2025A large percentage of part 121 ops either do not know how to operate pilot controlled lighting or are not familiar with PCL on CTAF. This is frequently the case before sunrise and before 0800 when the tower opens. Get it together 121 crews!
