Greeneville Municipal (KGCY)

Excellent airport with genuinely friendly staff. We got a quick welcome, topped off the fuel, and took advantage of one of their courtesy cars. My wife and I flew in specifically to pick up some sourdough bread from Troyer's. Definitely worth stopping here if you're passing through.

When I realized a diversion and landing were necessary, I chose KGCY. The runway is brand new. Chuck & George met me right away, fueled my plane, and showed me where everything was. They even keep a refrigerator filled with soda and snacks. There is currently one RNAV approach, with a second expected to be available soon. I fly a Cherokee, and there is lots of room in the valley to gain altitude before crossing the mountains at SOT. Excellent airport, highly recommended.

Ran over from Mountain Air for fuel and the service and friendliness was outstanding. The facilities appear new and clean and the staff here is fantastic. Upon startup I had a small issue with my vernier throttle and an extremely friendly and competent mechanic had me going again in under an hour. This is my new place for fuel from now on. Thank you all so much.
