May 21, 2026Excellent place to stop. Fuel costs less (not exactly cheap, just cheaper), and the FBO is brand-new and really nice. The crew car is a big plus. Amenities are limited and it’s fairly remote, but it makes for a great break on a long cross-country.

May 8, 2026Made a stop here after the plane I was ferrying developed engine trouble. The wind was REALLY strong, and leaving the little plane outside didn't feel like an option. Found a large open hangar at the far end and put the plane inside. I called the airport manager, who was very helpful, and he explained where the crew-car keys were kept. Ended up staying in town for a couple of nights while I sorted out the aircraft.

February 17, 2026I guess I missed the NOTAM saying the FBO was closed on a weekday in the middle of work hours. Nobody was around, so I just flew over to Pecos for the night.
