April 13, 2026Really nice place to stop. Pack a picnic and have lunch beneath the live oaks beside the ramp. Enter the VFR squawk code to access the facility. The bathrooms were very clean, and there’s a pilot’s lounge with local information, plus a log to sign and stamp your logbook. We enjoyed strolling around the monument grounds. Winds were 250 at 9 knots for our approach to 21, and it got pretty bouncy down at tree level, though nothing too wild. I’d be cautious about landing here on a truly windy day. Watch for the power lines off 21, but they’re not an issue if you aren’t flying low.

March 28, 2026Definitely an airport worth visiting. Perfect for a day trip to the beach, and the Wright Brothers Memorial was close enough to walk to. They also have a nice little pilot lounge where we were able to stamp our logbooks! Bathrooms too. I’ll be back again.

February 25, 2026Had a really good experience, and they even stamped my logbook in the pilot's lounge. Landing was no drama at all, but takeoff was definitely a thrashing over the tree line.
