Stopped by for a couple touch-and-goes. The south grass runway 8/26 was NOTAM'd closed during the week, but luckily it was a weekend. The local ops folks on frequency said management wants it shut down, probably because of upkeep, but I found it to be in good shape and a real pleasure to use. Hopefully they decide to keep it around. I'm sure the pavement is fine too.

This airport is a bit challenging to navigate. The fuel pumps are on the SW side near the approach end of runway 4. Look for a green roof building and 3 white tanks. The pilot lounge is not close to the fuel pumps. You'll have to start up and taxi near the airline terminal. The pilot lounge area has restrooms, sodas, coffee, WiFi and more. Look for a small building with a blue front, AV Flight sign with fuel trucks, and an ice machine out front. Unicom+# does the trick. Fine airport overall.

Had issue with self serve pump only putting a trickle of 100LL. Ended up waiting for fuel truck driver to arrive from town and paying full serve. Appreciate the assistance but an unexpected delay.
