July 11, 2026Here’s an update from the Southern California Aviation United Working Group. "Banning Update: Our new mayor, Richard Royce, has spoken with the FAA and told them the city is no longer moving forward with closing the airport." Every available hangar has been rented, so the airport will remain open after all.

June 20, 2026Stopped here to Uber over to the premium outlets. Since it was a Saturday, there was hardly anybody around, but that worked out fine. The restrooms were open and clean. We didn't buy fuel. Chain tie downs were available and we used them. It can get pretty windy. We brought our own chocks, so I can't say whether any were available. The runway and taxiways were in good shape, although they definitely need to knock down the weeds.

May 19, 2026Handy fuel stop. Really hope they don't get rid of it. Facilities are pretty sparse, but a bathroom and a fuel pump that works are all I need.
