May 2, 2026A great alternative to MMH. Don’t think of it only as a weather-diversion airport-you could easily make it plan A: the weather is better, there are multiple runways, fuel is way cheaper, and Eastern Sierra Transit runs a shuttle straight to Mammoth Lakes 4x/day for just $7 (about 1/10 the cost of an overpriced taxi from MMH). Also, Thai Thai is phenomenal-but call first, since they can randomly be closed for a couple weeks at a time.

October 29, 2024Good fuel stop - so quiet and inexpensive fuel! Fine Thai eatery also though closed Tuesday's & Wednesday's, otherwise timings 11-14 & 16-20.
