A GA-friendly airport, though flight school traffic can make things busy now and then. The CFIs and students are usually professional and courteous. The runway was recently changed to 17/35. A control tower is expected to be operational in Fall 2026. Center appreciates monitoring 126.15, and IFR clearances are available on the ground. Weather cameras can be viewed through the Friends of Bend Airport website. Hangar space is frequently available via hangarbravobravo.com.

For IFR clearance on the ground, try Seattle Center 126.15 initially, then phone number.

Excellent airport! A fuel stop for me flying up from Las Vegas to Seattle. The FBO here is quite good very receptive. People are very nice. Fine facilities. There's a small little restaurant upstairs that has some good food and good coffee. They're building a tower here that's coming up eventually. Nevertheless very heavy with student activity be careful when you set up for your landing. Overall I'll be back to stop by!
