June 5, 2026I used to keep my plane here. It’s a great little airport with excellent owner management, plus you can walk to ice cream or burgers in about 2 minutes. That said, it can be a challenging airport. RWY 34 is the standard no-wind runway, and the approach passes very close to terrain. On gusty days, the winds can get squirrely on short final. The published slope is accurate but misleading since it’s concentrated in the first half of the runway, so be careful when coming in hot and heavy. Fuel is truck-only, so arrange it ahead of time for any off-hours needs.

October 3, 2025Flew in today for the first time and it definitely won't be the last. Walked a short while to Kimball Farms for a good meal. Runway is in fine condition and ample parking.
