Really nice airport, with a good GA lounge. The runway is long. Coffee machine, phone, and self-service pump all worked great.

A warm oasis in the center of nowhere. Don’t anticipate anyone close by when you land but you can anticipate a functioning self serve fuel pump, a crew vehicle on the honor system, and a lovely tribute to Gary Gardner, a driving force for a quality airfield. On a coast to coast flight in my Comanche, I planned to ride out a wave of icy weather at Smiths Center because of the remarks here. The FBO hut had heat, internet, coffee, snacks, and shelter from the freezing rain. I doubt I’ll ever return but I’m pleased Gary had the vision to build out a fine facility before I required one.
