Ultralights are simple to deal with and talk to. We operate helicopters and have had a person standing in middle of runway giving us the bird. Have had no communication from other aircraft and other that use a tiny grass taxiway parallel to runway as a grass runway.

Active ultralights (paramotor) year round, not typically above 2000’ AGL and mostly contained within 3nm of I44. Most active in spring/summer/fall from sunrise +3hrs and sunset -3hrs, operating VFR only and gusting winds surface/aloft <12kts maximum. Airspeed cruising around 25kts. Airband comms/ADS-B transponder quite uncommon, strobe lights active per FAR SEC103.11
