St George Island (F47)

Based on what I found, F47 is public because its owner has designated it that way with the FAA. That means it can be used by the public without getting permission beforehand, though the owner may still limit access across the surrounding property. I was unable to locate any records showing that the airport received Federal funding.

This is a really nice field for students to work on touch and go's. No fuel, but even so, it's still a great spot to practice emergency procedures.

Beautiful spot to do pattern work at and a fine challenge if you're landing RWY 32. As the sectional shows, it shares a frequency with A51, X13 and 2J0 - so be very specific with traffic calls that you're landing "RWY 14/32 St. George" to avoid confusion.
