As mentioned, runway is in superb shape, the tie-down area is fair, with aging asphalt and some loose rocks. There's about 6 tie down spots on the east edge of the apron, the middle ones have tie-down chains, the rest have anchors but no chains. Thunderbird Lodge was very accommodating with pick up and drop off service.

Beautiful desert airport. Plenty of length. Runway in fine condition. Tied down overnight and felt very safe. Birds around the airport. Stayed at Thunderbird Lodge and was given a ride to and from. Went on the Canyon tour with them. Good people. Good experience. Definitely suggest going there.
