Boonville (D83)

Boonville is a really nice place to fly into. Just be careful on those hot summer days. If the wind isn't much of a factor, I usually find it simpler to come in from the SE for runway 31 and take off on runway 13. Just gives you better options... Short walk for food and it's just a friendly town...

Flew in for lunch yesterday. As we walked out of airport gate. A car stopped and offered us a ride to town. He gave us a quick run down of choices for lunch and then dropped us off at farmhouse Mercantile. Good food and welcoming service. There are many other fine choices. You meet fine people at small airports. It's only a 10 minute walk back to airport. We departed rnwy 31. Surrounding hills rise quite quickly so you need to manage on route course and climb performance.
