Little airport cafe in the light blue two story building over by the Independence Aviation sign, right in the plane parking area. Open 6a-2p every day (7am on Sundays). Restrooms are only for customers - and takeaway coffee is just $2.65!

Update on the Starduster Cafe. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch. Good cafe with possibly the finest breakfast in all of Independence. Fast service, cordial people, large menu and many aviation enthusiasts.

Starduster Café is a good small airport diner. Personnel are very kind, the food is superb and comes in big servings, and there is a patio with outdoor seating and umbrellas. Overall a fine experience getting lunch there! The restaurant is roughly midfield, with a short path path connecting the restaurant to the apron/transient parking (by taxiway A2, lots of tie downs available).
