Ticonderoga Municipal (4B6)

Excellent little airport, and remarkably well maintained considering it's small and completely unattended. After landing, we took a taxi to the Fort. We called Adirondack cab while securing the airplane, and they arrived in about 15 mins. It was $10 each way for the trip to the Fort and back. A man was walking right along the runway as we came in, which caught us off guard. It turned out he was part of the airport committee getting his daily exercise, so there was nothing to worry about.

Nice-looking airport in a scenic setting. The self-service fuel worked perfectly. The downside is that the field is unattended, and getting into town means roughly a 30-minute walk. There’s a little box beside the gate where you can leave the landing fee.

Fine facility. Simple approach. Be mindful of right traffic on 20. Also, secure the gate code prior to departing the facility, so you do not get locked out. it's not 1200... ask me how I know.
